İsmet Yalınay took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Naci Onurhan. Naci Onurhan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 22nd match minute, Mut was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Korhan Eskioğlu to maneuver through the defense. Sebati Avşaroğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Şerif Horasanlı blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Naci Onurhan having to make a save. When Turan Taşer fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mut's protests and gave Turan Taşer a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th match minute, Mut was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Turan Taşer to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebati Avşaroğlu in the 28th minute of play forced Mut's goalkeeper Naci Onurhan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sebati Avşaroğlu made a kick off. Kutlualp Kınıkaslan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Temel Yalazalp in the 53rd minute of play. Kutlualp Kınıkaslan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Korhan Eskioğlu in the 58th minute of the match. Kutlualp Kınıkaslan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Korhan Eskioğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Mut's zone, İsmet Yalınay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Naci Onurhan came out of the goal and İsmet Yalınay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mut's Naci Onurhan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Mut from getting a goal against them. In the 75thth minute of the game İsmet Yalınay who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mut's Naci Onurhan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sebati Avşaroğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Naci Onurhan having to interfere. Kutlualp Kınıkaslan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Korhan Eskioğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. A collision led to Refahiye FK getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Şerif Horasanlı hit a great ball. Korhan Eskioğlu struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Kutlualp Kınıkaslan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mut. The Mut supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Refahiye FK's performance. The match ended with a win for Refahiye FK.
