Behiç Kuman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 15 minutes, Alphan Ökmen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kurtalan and the Maltepespor FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Burak Vahapoğlu's late challenge caught a Kurtalan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Burak Vahapoğlu helped the player get up and apologised. Burak Vahapoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After the first half Maltepespor FK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
