When Kamber Baykal fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Semdinli SK's protests and gave Kamber Baykal a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Aydintepe booed when Semdinli SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kamber Baykal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atilla Bumin Elçin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Onur Ali Özkent might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mustafa Orhan Ahi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Onur Ali Özkent ran back to his position shaking his head. Tayfun Yerhum's late challenge caught a Semdinli SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Atilla Bumin Elçin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dilaver Oba in the 42nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dilaver Oba in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Atilla Bumin Elçin saved Semdinli SK from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehmet Emrah Genç in the 45th minute of play forced Semdinli SK's goalkeeper Atilla Bumin Elçin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Semdinli SK getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Alemdar Öksüzoğlu hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mehmet Emrah Genç to strike the kick off in the second half. Dilaver Oba ran back to his position shaking his head. Atilla Bumin Elçin was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Mehmet Emrah Genç capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal.
