Paşa Yazıcı sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Tirebolu getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Çelikan Çağkar hit a great ball. Umut Yücesan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Nafiz Gürler in the 13th minute of the match. Ahmet Nafiz Gürler hit a great ball. 20 minutes into the match, Birecik's Vahap Tayyip sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Umut Yücesan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 26th minute Turgay Ergüner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ergün Tansoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28thth minute of the game Ahmet Nafiz Gürler who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tirebolu's Umut Yücesan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 29 played minutes Tirebolu got a freekick which was hit by Saltuk Yağınalp. The referee felt a red card was in order, 40 minutes into the game, when Bahadırhan Seylan put in a rough tackle. 39 minutes into the game, one of Birecik:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When Haldun Kudret came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Birecik fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haldun Kudret couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vahap Tayyip stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Vahap Tayyip managed to get in a good position for a shot. Birecik's supporters rose to their feet, but Vahap Tayyip was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Umut Yücesan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ahmet Nafiz Gürler might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Umut Yücesan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ahmet Nafiz Gürler ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Birecik booed when Tirebolu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alkın Bekdemir didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Vahap Tayyip had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ergün Tansoy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paşa Yazıcı in the 72nd minute of the match. Vahap Tayyip received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Umut Yücesan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Paşa Yazıcı ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ergün Tansoy was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. When Tirebolu's Paşa Yazıcı in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Birecik's goalie prevented a goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, Tirebolu could leave the field as winners, despite Birecik having more of the ball for most of the match.
