Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Gafur Uluman made the kick off which started today's match. After a rather tough play, Battalgazi SK's Haşmet Kutsal got a free kick in the 3rd minute. The Battalgazi SK fans' excitement grew in the 5th match minute when Battalgazi SK's Gazanfer Özcan Yetiş looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haşmet Kutsal in the 10th minute of play forced Gökceyazi's goalkeeper Süleyman Haneci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Battalgazi SK's Ahmet Kağan Taykut proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Battalgazi SK from getting a goal against them. After having played for 20 minutes, İnanç Latif managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Battalgazi SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but İnanç Latif was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gazanfer Özcan Yetiş fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Süleyman Haneci having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Gökceyazi's Abidin Acar got a free kick in the 24th minute. When Haşmet Kutsal came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Battalgazi SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haşmet Kutsal couldn't finish the play. If Gazanfer Özcan Yetiş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Haşmet Kutsal in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Süleyman Haneci prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Süleyman Haneci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haşmet Kutsal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gafur Uluman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ahmet Kağan Taykut came out and tried to block the shot, but Gafur Uluman slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 46th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
With a couple of smart ball manuevers Barbaros Tayfun in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ahmet Kağan Taykut saved Battalgazi SK from getting behind. Battalgazi SK's Haşmet Kutsal got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gazanfer Özcan Yetiş recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67th minute of the match, Haşmet Kutsal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Süleyman Haneci saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Gökceyazi's Barbaros Tayfun in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Barbaros Tayfun couldn't finish the play. Haşmet Kutsal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Battalgazi SK were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
