Yücel Tankut charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yücel Tankut the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Karaköy getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Yücel Tankut hit a great ball. Köksal Korcan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gökçe Zübeyr having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Cevat Toran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Köksal Korcan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gökçe Zübeyr made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Korkutalp Zülfikar in the 27th minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Korkutalp Zülfikar was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Karaköy booed when Gürsu FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haşmet Bayram didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ömer Rıza Orhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Behzat Suni in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yakup Okaner prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Yakup Okaner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ömer Rıza Orhan in the 63rd minute of play. The supporters of Gürsu FK booed when Karaköy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bekir Gencal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Behzat Suni recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 92 minutes into the game, Karaköy's Behzat Suni nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yakup Okaner made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Gürsu FK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
