Aydintepe's Ömer Çağlar got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 7th minute Rahmi Sarduç shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mustafa Yaşar Tunalı saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ayhan Taşan might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Doğan Zübeyr. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lemi Sezmen in the 18th minute of play forced Aydintepe's goalkeeper Doğan Zübeyr to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Melikgazi's Mustafa Yaşar Tunalı played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rahmi Sarduç in the 20th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hüseyin Can Ömür during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Melikgazi's Hüseyin Can Ömür got a free kick in the 21st minute. Ömer Çağlar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Mustafa Yaşar Tunalı made a huge save. After having played for 29 minutes, Ayhan Taşan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Melikgazi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ayhan Taşan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Lemi Sezmen made the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes, Korkut Pekant mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Melikgazi and the Aydintepe players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 54 played minutes Melikgazi got a freekick which was hit by Korkut Pekant. Lemi Sezmen succeeded in the game's 59th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. If Lemi Sezmen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. Mustafa Yaşar Tunalı showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ömer Çağlar, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Kartal Tacir hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Aydintepe's Seyit Maruf couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Melikgazi.
