Afyon's Celalettin Vecihi got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mehmet Ali Atlıoğlu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Barışcan Uzman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. A collision led to Afyon getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Celalettin Vecihi hit a great ball. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Aliaga's goalkeeper Cahit Delioğlu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ant Mensur blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cahit Delioğlu having to make a save. When Mehmet Ali Atlıoğlu came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Aliaga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mehmet Ali Atlıoğlu couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Afyon's zone, Ahmet Refik Reşit stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Barışcan Uzman came out of the goal and Ahmet Refik Reşit tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Aliaga booed when Afyon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barışcan Uzman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mehmet Ali Atlıoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. When Ahmet Refik Reşit came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Aliaga fans jumped to their feet. Ant Mensur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 65 minutes into the game, Ahmet Refik Reşit recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Barışcan Uzman. Ahmet Refik Reşit showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Ant Mensur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. When Barlas Balaban was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 89 minutes had been played. 92 minutes into the game, one of Afyon:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Barışcan Uzman, was totally fooled by Aliaga's Atacan Erzan, who 94 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Aliaga had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
