When Kemal Ulum fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ilgin FK's protests and gave Kemal Ulum a yellow card for diving instead. Ramazan İpekli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Reha Çetinsu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When Numan Akkan came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Ortaköy fans jumped to their feet.
