Güzelbahce's Şenol Doğa shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 5th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Sercan Sıraç but with some difficulty. In the 7th minute, Abdurrahman Koca reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sercan Sıraç. The goal made the score 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Atilla Kağan Kutlubay during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th match minute, Hopa SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atilla Kağan Kutlubay to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute, Hamdullah Orgen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sercan Sıraç was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Hamdullah Orgen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sercan Sıraç having to interfere. Güzelbahce's Hamdullah Orgen got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Güzelbahce booed when Hopa SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Çetin Alpsoy didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Hopa SK's zone, Abdurrahman Koca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sercan Sıraç came out of the goal and Abdurrahman Koca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Atilla Kağan Kutlubay hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Sercan Sıraç made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Hamdullah Orgen sent off a good shot on target. Atilla Kağan Kutlubay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Gürkan Acaröz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abdurrahman Koca to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Hamdullah Orgen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sercan Sıraç showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdurrahman Koca in the 56th minute of the match. With a little luck, Güzelbahce's Gürkan Acaröz got control of the ball when Afşin Işık tried to sneak it across the goal line. Afşin Işık struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Gürkan Acaröz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hopa SK. In the 64th minute of the match Hopa SK got a corner. Güzelbahce's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hasan Tahsin Cinel ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Gökalp Şakib heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 72 minutes into the match, Önder Akçakan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gürkan Acaröz, 2-1. In the 77thth minute of the game Hamdullah Orgen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hopa SK's Sercan Sıraç was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Abdurrahman Koca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Güzelbahce getting a freekick after 89 minutes play.
