Ataköy FK's Cemal Demiralp proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Ataköy FK from getting a goal against them. Bulut Özbilen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Behlül İlksel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karpuzlu's Vacid Balısoy got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kerimhan Akbuğ sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karpuzlu's Kerimhan Akbuğ got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Kerimhan Akbuğ managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karpuzlu's supporters rose to their feet, but Kerimhan Akbuğ was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cemal Demiralp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kerimhan Akbuğ fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cemal Demiralp having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. İlker Uğuralp was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Vacid Balısoy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karpuzlu's supporters rose to their feet, but Vacid Balısoy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cemal Demiralp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Ataköy FK getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Çelik Helvacı hit a great ball. If Bulut Özbilen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Karpuzlu's Rahmi Arınç got a free kick in the 60th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers İlker Uğuralp in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Behlül İlksel saved Karpuzlu from getting behind. In the 64th minute Mehmet Arif Suerdem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cemal Demiralp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Karpuzlu's goal looked a bit too open when İlker Uğuralp came free, but Behlül İlksel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ali Asım Acıbadem hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. 72 minutes into the match, Karpuzlu's goalkeeper Behlül İlksel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bulut Özbilen. Güntekin Oskay kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After 86 minutes, Kerimhan Akbuğ mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Karpuzlu and the Ataköy FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 86th match minute, Karpuzlu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kerimhan Akbuğ to maneuver through the defense. Bulut Özbilen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Behlül İlksel having to interfere. After having played for 92 minutes, Kerimhan Akbuğ managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karpuzlu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kerimhan Akbuğ was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vacid Balısoy in the 96th minute of play forced Ataköy FK's goalkeeper Cemal Demiralp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Karpuzlu fully deserved thier win.
