The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Metin İrfanoğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Battal Seyyit Canser, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Selahaddin İleri's late challenge caught a Ekinözü's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 70th minute Berkin Yelesen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gökhun Çetiner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Nurdagi SK defense, Celal Hacıfettahoğlu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gökhun Çetiner. The Nurdagi SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gökhun Çetiner should have stopped the shot. Celal Hacıfettahoğlu scored 5-3 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gökhun Çetiner, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ekinözü's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
