After a rather tough play, Heybeliada's İstemihan İmralı got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 11th minute, Mustafa Birol Türev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute Abdurrezzak Buminhan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Akşemseddin Tanalp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Akşemseddin Tanalp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Necmi Başesgioğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 23 minutes into the match, Istanbulspor FK's goal looked a bit too open when Abdurrezzak Buminhan came free, but Akşemseddin Tanalp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Necmi Başesgioğlu scored 0-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Akşemseddin Tanalp, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Necmi Başesgioğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Akşemseddin Tanalp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vefa Mürşit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Istanbulspor FK getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Hamdi Tecen hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Istanbulspor FK's Oktay Tüzmen slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bozkurt Kıvılcım. That made the score 1-1 after 48 minutes of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oktay Tüzmen made a kick off. In the 55thth minute of the game Necmi Başesgioğlu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Istanbulspor FK's Akşemseddin Tanalp was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Istanbulspor FK's goalkeeper Akşemseddin Tanalp had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abdurrezzak Buminhan. Abdurrezzak Buminhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Abdurrezzak Buminhan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Heybeliada's supporters rose to their feet, but Abdurrezzak Buminhan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Akşemseddin Tanalp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Istanbulspor FK defense, Abdurrezzak Buminhan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Akşemseddin Tanalp. The Istanbulspor FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Akşemseddin Tanalp should have stopped the shot. If Vefa Mürşit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 75 played minutes Heybeliada got a freekick which was hit by Mehmet Hamdi Yanal. Vefa Mürşit fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bozkurt Kıvılcım having to interfere. Bozkurt Kıvılcım showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oktay Tüzmen, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Abdurrezzak Buminhan scored 1-3 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Akşemseddin Tanalp, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 89th minute, Vefa Mürşit had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. İstemihan İmralı charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed İstemihan İmralı the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. İstemihan İmralı hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The supporters of Istanbulspor FK booed when Heybeliada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mehmet Hamdi Yanal didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Oktay Tüzmen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 98th minute Oktay Tüzmen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bozkurt Kıvılcım saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Heybeliada supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Heybeliada would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
