Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) 5 minutes into the game, Haluk Öztay was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Savsat JK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Istanbulspor FK the free kick. In the 5th minute, Haluk Öztay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erman Cesimi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vefa Mürşit, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 15th minute, Artaç Baltacı ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Akşemseddin Tanalp was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Akşemseddin Tanalp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ensar Sancaktar in the 18th minute of the match. Akşemseddin Şahsuvar's late challenge caught a Savsat JK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Akşemseddin Şahsuvar helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Savsat JK booed when Istanbulspor FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Akşemseddin Şahsuvar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Akşemseddin Tanalp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ensar Sancaktar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oktay Tüzmen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Vefa Mürşit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vefa Mürşit fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erman Cesimi having to interfere. In the 34th minute Oktay Tüzmen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erman Cesimi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute of the match Hamdi Tecen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erman Cesimi skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 41 minutes, Vefa Mürşit managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Istanbulspor FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vefa Mürşit was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 43 minutes, Vefa Mürşit made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Savsat JK's Erman Cesimi tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Tekin Akkın charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tekin Akkın the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 46 played minutes Istanbulspor FK got a freekick which was hit by Tekin Akkın. Ensar Sancaktar might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Akşemseddin Tanalp. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ensar Sancaktar ran back to his position shaking his head. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After 51 minutes, Haşim Tandoğdu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Savsat JK and the Istanbulspor FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Istanbulspor FK booed when Savsat JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haşim Tandoğdu didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Savsat JK's Erman Cesimi got control of the ball when Vefa Mürşit tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ahmet Göktuğ Tongar charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ahmet Göktuğ Tongar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Istanbulspor FK getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Ahmet Göktuğ Tongar hit a great ball. In the 65th minute, Vefa Mürşit ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erman Cesimi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ensar Sancaktar in the 70th minute of play forced Istanbulspor FK's goalkeeper Akşemseddin Tanalp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vefa Mürşit might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erman Cesimi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vefa Mürşit ran back to his position shaking his head. After 80 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Savsat JK! In the 88th minute, Artaç Baltacı ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Akşemseddin Tanalp was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. Artaç Baltacı recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Artaç Baltacı managed to get in a good position for a shot. Savsat JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Artaç Baltacı was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Akşemseddin Tanalp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Istanbulspor FK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Istanbulspor FK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
