The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aysan Gülerce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Metin Derem having to interfere. Metin Derem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celalettin Timurtas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Evciler booed when Caybasi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Songurhan Şahinhan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute of the match, Celalettin Timurtas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Metin Derem saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Baki Birge struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Murathan Ökten didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Evciler. Murathan Ökten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baki Birge in the 17th minute of play. Murathan Ökten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baki Birge in the 19th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Celalettin Timurtas took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Metin Derem to make any attempt to save it. Baki Birge scored 1-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Murathan Ökten, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Caybasi defense, Mehmet Hakkı Ergök kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Murathan Ökten. The Caybasi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Murathan Ökten should have stopped the shot. Aysan Gülerce struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Metin Derem didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caybasi. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Celalettin Timurtas was the one to do the kick off. Mehmet Bilge Malkoç kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Evciler's Metin Derem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aysan Gülerce in the 57th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celalettin Timurtas in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Metin Derem saved Evciler from getting behind. When Songurhan Şahinhan was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 60 minutes had been played. In the 61st minute, Songurhan Şahinhan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66thth minute of the game Baki Birge who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caybasi's Murathan Ökten was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Korcan Kenan fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caybasi's protests and gave Korcan Kenan a yellow card for diving instead. Murathan Ökten didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mehmet Hakkı Ergök went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. 73 minutes into the game, Mehmet Hakkı Ergök was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Evciler's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caybasi the free kick. After a rather tough play, Evciler's Mehmet Hakkı Ergök got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Baki Birge received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Murathan Ökten came out and tried to block the shot, but Baki Birge slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 78th minute. Ertuğrul Oytunç kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match.
