Müslüm Türkol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kemal Erboy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kemal Erboy got free with Müslüm Türkol in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 15th minute, Kemal Erboy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fenerbahce's Işıkalp Nazır got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Işıkalp Nazır had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hayri İbrahimoğlu hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. The supporters of Fenerbahce booed when Beylikdüzü was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hayri İbrahimoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 26 played minutes Beylikdüzü got a freekick which was hit by Mecnun Altıncığlu. Kemal Erboy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Müslüm Türkol read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. The supporters of Fenerbahce booed when Beylikdüzü was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hayri İbrahimoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Işıkalp Nazır could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Müslüm Türkol made a huge save. If Temel Çağnur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Temel Çağnur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Halis Eldem having to interfere. Halis Eldem made an important save on a dangerous shot by Halit Ziya Beybolat in the 63rd minute. Temel Çağnur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Halis Eldem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th match minute, Fenerbahce was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erdal Okay to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Temel Çağnur managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beylikdüzü's supporters rose to their feet, but Temel Çağnur was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Halis Eldem breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Halis Eldem made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Halit Ziya Beybolat sent off a good shot on target. A hard shot 89 in the game by Halit Ziya Beybolat from a close distance when the talented Halis Eldem managed to make a qualified save. Fenerbahce's players were relieved. Erdal Okay kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. If Kemal Erboy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Beylikdüzü's Veli Okbaş got a free kick in the 97th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Fenerbahce's Ali Behzat Nahit tried to score from far away in the 98th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.
