The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bedih Koray showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denizhan Türk in the 3rd minute of the match. Hazım Birhan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Bedih Koray made a huge save. Hazım Birhan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Bedih Koray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hazım Birhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Necip Soyurgal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mete Yuluğ in the 15th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Faik Naci's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Necip Soyurgal was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Mete Yuluğ sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 76 played minutes Eski SK got a freekick which was hit by Taner Özarkın. After a defensive mix-up in Eski SK's zone, Faik Naci stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Necip Soyurgal came out of the goal and Faik Naci tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Faik Naci came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Ankaragücü fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Faik Naci couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faik Naci in the 89th minute of play forced Eski SK's goalkeeper Necip Soyurgal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eski SK's Necip Soyurgal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faik Naci in the 91st minute of play. Denizhan Türk took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bedih Koray. Bedih Koray dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. The Ankaragücü players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Eski SK from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
