In the 16th minute Şeref Ongay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gencal Erdoğdu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Akpinar SK's goal looked a bit too open when Altay Akoğlu came free, but Gencal Erdoğdu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ahmet Seyfi Turbay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Alphan Ayhan made a huge save. Ahmet Seyfi Turbay succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 23rd playminute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ahmet Seyfi Turbay got free with Alphan Ayhan in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Şeref Ongay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute, Altay Akoğlu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gencal Erdoğdu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Akpinar SK's Gencal Erdoğdu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Altay Akoğlu in the 38th minute of play. In the 46th minute Altay Akoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gencal Erdoğdu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Akpinar SK's Gencal Erdoğdu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Altay Akoğlu in the 48th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sefa Yüksel to make the kick off. Aktaç Başdemir was shown his second yellow card after 51 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 52 played minutes Akpinar SK got a freekick which was hit by Aktaç Başdemir. Afşar Kutlu charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Afşar Kutlu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 57th match minute, Akpinar SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afşar Kutlu to maneuver through the defense. Altay Akoğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Şeref Ongay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Gencal Erdoğdu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Şeref Ongay struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Gencal Erdoğdu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kayserispor FK. Abuzer Kandemir went to the cornerflag to take it. 86 minutes into the game, one of Akpinar SK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Gencal Erdoğdu, was totally fooled by Kayserispor FK's Abuzer Kandemir, who 87 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Akpinar SK! When the match had been going on for 97 minutes, Kayserispor FK's Abuzer Kandemir got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Gencal Erdoğdu.
