After having played for 5 minutes, Onur Bilgiç managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karabaglar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Onur Bilgiç was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Onur Bilgiç in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Özal Gökçek saved Mihalgazi FK from getting behind. Reşat Başel's late challenge caught a Karabaglar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reşat Başel helped the player get up and apologised. After 8 played minutes Mihalgazi FK got a freekick which was hit by Reşat Başel. In the 12th match minute, Mihalgazi FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reşat Başel to maneuver through the defense. If Onur Bilgiç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Karabaglar's goalkeeper Hasret İlenç, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Reşat Başel was shown his second yellow card after 26 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Reşat Başel hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Onur Bilgiç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Özal Gökçek having to interfere. After 32 minutes, Anıl Ege Ortan made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Mihalgazi FK's Özal Gökçek tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Anıl Ege Ortan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Özal Gökçek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Onur Bilgiç in the 37th minute of play forced Mihalgazi FK's goalkeeper Özal Gökçek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Özal Gökçek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Onur Bilgiç in the 40th minute of play. Mihalgazi FK's Sabit Tanbay got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anıl Ege Ortan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Yıldıray Mehdi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mihalgazi FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Yıldıray Mehdi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hasret İlenç breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anıl Ege Ortan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. After a rather tough play, Karabaglar's Enginsu Semavi got a free kick in the 72nd minute. When Anıl Ege Ortan came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Karabaglar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anıl Ege Ortan couldn't finish the play. Karabaglar's Anıl Ege Ortan got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 83 played minutes Karabaglar got a freekick which was hit by Enginsu Semavi. Sabit Tanbay struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Hasret İlenç didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mihalgazi FK. Sabit Tanbay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Hasret İlenç tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
