The supporters of Tonya JK booed when Kazan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hasan Tahsin Kılıçalp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Selman Ruhi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Ümit Eriş tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Selman Ruhi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ekber Taykurt scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ahmet Harun Gökalp, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ümit Eriş took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Batu Torehan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gökçek Özkok had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celal Nuralp charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Celal Nuralp the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Celal Nuralp hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Hakkı Deniz Umur from long distance, 31 minutes into the match, got Ümit Eriş's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. İlhan Doğangün sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute, Gökçek Özkok hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ümit Eriş was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Hakkı Deniz Umur. Tonya JK's Ahmet Harun Gökalp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ekber Taykurt in the 46th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ekber Taykurt to strike the kick off in the second half. When Ünsal Acarer fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tonya JK's protests and gave Ünsal Acarer a yellow card for diving instead. After some careless play in the Kazan defense, İlhan Doğangün kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ümit Eriş. The Kazan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ümit Eriş should have stopped the shot. An unexpected shot in the 69th minute by Gökçek Özkok got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ahmet Harun Gökalp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ekber Taykurt in the 71st minute of play. Gökçek Özkok fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Harun Gökalp having to interfere. Selman Ruhi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
