The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the match, Tonya JK's goalkeeper Ahmet Harun Gökalp had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Refik Azimli. The audience thought a goal was coming when Refik Azimli got free with Ahmet Harun Gökalp in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Halil İbrahim Tanver received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Ahmet Harun Gökalp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute Halil İbrahim Tanver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Harun Gökalp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hakkı Deniz Umur during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hakkı Deniz Umur kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. If Refik Azimli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, Buca's goal looked a bit too open when İlhan Doğangün came free, but Bilge İlkcan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Buca fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 26th minute. Penalty! Hakkı Deniz Umur walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Halil İbrahim Tanver received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. In the 32nd match minute, Tonya JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ünsal Acarer to maneuver through the defense. Taner Yörükoğlu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ahmet Harun Gökalp. Tonya JK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Tonya JK's İlhan Doğangün nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bilge İlkcan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 38th minute, İlhan Doğangün left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tonya JK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After 41 played minutes Tonya JK got a freekick which was hit by Batu Torehan. Refik Azimli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Tonya JK were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Halil İbrahim Tanver was the one to do the kick off. If Refik Azimli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tonya JK's Ahmet Harun Gökalp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Refik Azimli in the 54th minute of play. Refik Azimli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 57 minutes into the match, Halil İbrahim Tanver notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Tonya JK's Ahmet Harun Gökalp. Ahmet Harun Gökalp was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 60th match minute, Buca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Ceyhan Tümerkan to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute of the match Berat Samih sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ahmet Harun Gökalp skillfully saved the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Tonya JK's goal looked a bit too open when Halil İbrahim Tanver came free, but Ahmet Harun Gökalp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bilge İlkcan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Selman Ruhi in the 78th minute of the match. If Selman Ruhi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ant Yersel during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Buca's Ant Yersel got a free kick in the 85th minute. Hakkı Deniz Umur took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 86th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bilge İlkcan. Buca's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 90th match minute, Buca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yılmaz Tahir to maneuver through the defense. Halil İbrahim Tanver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Harun Gökalp having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
