Yüksel Okdemir was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 16 minutes, Şahap Sayın managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sarayönü SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Şahap Sayın was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 21 played minutes Sarayönü SK got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Ziya Yetişbey. Melih Cevdet Atlas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Işıkalp Uğurata in the 22nd minute. In the 26th minute Hayyam Suay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yüksel Okdemir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sarayönü SK's Hayyam Suay got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yüksel Okdemir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Şahap Sayın in the 37th minute of the match. Şahap Sayın received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Yüksel Okdemir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yaşar Nuri Demiralp was the one to do the kick off. Melih Cevdet Atlas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Işıkalp Uğurata, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Yaşar Nuri Demiralp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Melih Cevdet Atlas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Yaşar Nuri Demiralp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Sarayönü SK's zone, Yaşar Nuri Demiralp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melih Cevdet Atlas came out of the goal and Yaşar Nuri Demiralp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sarayönü SK's Şahap Sayın got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Işıkalp Uğurata in the 76th minute of play forced Sarayönü SK's goalkeeper Melih Cevdet Atlas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Sarayönü SK getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Umut Ökten hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Sarayönü SK's Arif Oğuz İlkay got a free kick in the 78th minute. 80 minutes into the game, Ali Çağrı Çakar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sarayönü SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Baspinar JK the free kick. Hakkı Deniz Canıtez was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 81st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Melih Cevdet Atlas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yaşar Nuri Demiralp in the 83rd minute of the match. Hayyam Suay received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Yüksel Okdemir came out and tried to block the shot, but Hayyam Suay slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 87th minute. Işıkalp Uğurata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yüksel Okdemir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hayyam Suay in the 95th minute of play. Hayyam Suay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sarayönü SK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
