An unexpectedly hard shot by Cem Attar in the 11th minute of play forced Cal's goalkeeper Ferman Dersu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Mezarlikbasi's zone, Sabri Yaver stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sabri Darga came out of the goal and Sabri Yaver tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th minute, Barlas Rami hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sabri Darga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gökmen Togan in the 20th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Cal's zone, Cem Attar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferman Dersu came out of the goal and Cem Attar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cal's Sabri Yaver got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sabri Yaver's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sabri Darga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Levent Baykal's late challenge caught a Cal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Levent Baykal helped the player get up and apologised. Levent Baykal hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Sabri Darga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sabri Yaver in the 30th minute. Sabri Darga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gökmen Togan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mezarlikbasi's Fadıl Soyurgal got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 37 minutes, Vefa Onursoy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vefa Onursoy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Mezarlikbasi's Levent Baykal got a free kick in the 38th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Mezarlikbasi's goal looked a bit too open when Ergün Nafiz came free, but Sabri Darga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sabri Yaver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cal's Ferman Dersu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fadıl Soyurgal in the 47th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Asrın Altınkaya kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After having played for 56 minutes, Cem Attar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mezarlikbasi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cem Attar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sabri Yaver received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Sabri Darga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sabri Yaver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sabri Darga having to interfere. Mezarlikbasi's Sabri Darga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gökmen Togan in the 65th minute of play. Fadıl Soyurgal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferman Dersu having to interfere. Sabri Darga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gökmen Togan in the 75th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Mezarlikbasi defense, Sabri Yaver kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sabri Darga. The Mezarlikbasi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sabri Darga should have stopped the shot. Cem Attar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sabri Yaver kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match.
