In the 4th minute Bedirhan Kayaer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gökcan Vechi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The tension between the Kangal and the Devrekhane players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Devrekhane booed when Kangal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bahri Tanören didn't get a good kick on the ball. Göktuğ Bilek might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aycan Cezar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kangal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Onuralp Ülgü was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Aycan Cezar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Göktuğ Bilek in the 45th minute of the match. The Kangal players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Devrekhane were winning 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Onuralp Ülgü was the one to do the kick off. Devrekhane's supporters crossed their fingers, but Onuralp Ülgü was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
