Necat İkram showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alpertunga Tayguner, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Necat İkram showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdi Mehmet Sadri in the 8th minute of the match. Olgun Topel charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Olgun Topel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Olgun Topel kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 13th minute of the match, Ilgaz Sorgun tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Aşık Uçur saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 15th minute Kumru were awarded a corner. Şamil Kırgız went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Sabri Duran got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-0. 15 minutes into the match. Necat İkram made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alpertunga Tayguner in the 18th minute of play. Alpertunga Tayguner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yozgat's Olgun Topel got his second yellow card of the match in the 24th minute. The referee ordered Olgun Topel off the ground. Aşık Uçur stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andaç Gulabi's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Andaç Gulabi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Aşık Uçur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andaç Gulabi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aşık Uçur read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Yozgat's Baykal Okanay got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Kumru's goalkeeper Necat İkram, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Abdi Mehmet Sadri blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Necat İkram having to make a save. In the 47th minute, Abdi Mehmet Sadri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ilgaz Sorgun was the one to do the kick off. If Abdi Mehmet Sadri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kumru's Necat İkram proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Kumru from getting a goal against them. When Abdi Mehmet Sadri came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Yozgat fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdi Mehmet Sadri couldn't finish the play. Necat İkram made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abdi Mehmet Sadri in the 62nd minute. When Baykal Okanay fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yozgat's protests and gave Baykal Okanay a yellow card for diving instead. In the 77th match minute, Yozgat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baykal Okanay to maneuver through the defense. Ahmet Reha Vuralhan's late challenge caught a Kumru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Yozgat. The referee gave Kumru a penalty, 87 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Şamil Kırgız, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Yozgat's Aşık Uçur. 2-0. Nedim Seci hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Abdi Mehmet Sadri struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Necat İkram didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yozgat. An unexpectedly hard shot by Selahaddin Eroğul in the 93rd minute of play forced Kumru's goalkeeper Necat İkram to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute, Abdi Mehmet Sadri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alpertunga Tayguner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yozgat's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
