Kunter Başesgioğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hakan As, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kunter Başesgioğlu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ömer Sefer went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Evren SK's zone, Münir Pekdeger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mürsel Volkan came out of the goal and Münir Pekdeger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the match, Gemlik FK's goal looked a bit too open when Ömer Sefer came free, but Kunter Başesgioğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gemlik FK's Kunter Başesgioğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hakan As in the 19th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Gemlik FK's zone, Hakan As stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kunter Başesgioğlu came out of the goal and Hakan As tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 24 minutes into the match, Gemlik FK's goal looked a bit too open when Hakan As came free, but Kunter Başesgioğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tayyar Rekin in the 31st minute of play forced Evren SK's goalkeeper Mürsel Volkan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Münir Pekdeger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hakan As received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Kunter Başesgioğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hakan As had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the game, Ömer Sefer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Kunter Başesgioğlu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ömer Sefer to make the kick off. After 52 minutes, Ramiz Kutsan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Evren SK and the Gemlik FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 52 played minutes Evren SK got a freekick which was hit by Ramiz Kutsan. When Dilmen Yiğit fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Evren SK's protests and gave Dilmen Yiğit a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Evren SK's Dilmen Yiğit got a free kick in the 56th minute. The supporters of Gemlik FK booed when Evren SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dilmen Yiğit didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute of the match Gemlik FK got a corner. Evren SK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zekeriya Müfit ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 67 played minutes Gemlik FK got a freekick which was hit by Bayındır Samet. Ömer Sefer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kunter Başesgioğlu having to make a save. Hakan Ass short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Kunter Başesgioğlu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Kunter Başesgioğlu was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Ömer Sefer capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ömer Sefer really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. With a little luck, Gemlik FK's Kunter Başesgioğlu got control of the ball when Ömer Sefer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Münir Pekdeger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Münir Pekdeger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mürsel Volkan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Evren SK's Çetin Canatan got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 95th minute, Zekeriya Müfit sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Evren SK's Mürsel Volkan didn't even have to move. 96 minutes into the match, Evren SK's goal looked a bit too open when Münir Pekdeger came free, but Mürsel Volkan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Gemlik FK supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Evren SK's performance. The match ended with a win for Evren SK.
