When Yusuf Ziya Semdin fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Moda's protests and gave Yusuf Ziya Semdin a yellow card for diving instead. Yusuf Ziya Semdin hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Moda's zone, Kerem Perkel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nazım Nusret came out of the goal and Kerem Perkel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 10th match minute, Moda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Işıkalp Akgüneş to maneuver through the defense. Kerem Perkel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Nazım Nusret made a huge save. After 16 minutes, Ahmet Göktuğ Kılıçhan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mersin FK and the Moda players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th match minute, Mersin FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Göktuğ Kılıçhan to maneuver through the defense. Kerem Perkel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If İsmail Cem Tublek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mersin FK's İsmail Cem Tublek got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 27th minute, Ahmet Rıfat Lütfi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Moda's Baturhan Saruhan managed to work through Mersin FK's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Baturhan Saruhan dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Nihat Tatu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Birdal Erdursun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. İsmail Cem Tublek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nazım Nusret read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Kerem Perkel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nazım Nusret was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. With a little luck, Moda's Nazım Nusret got control of the ball when Kerem Perkel tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 41 minutes, İsmail Cem Tublek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mersin FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but İsmail Cem Tublek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, İsmail Cem Tublek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mersin FK's supporters rose to their feet, but İsmail Cem Tublek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nazım Nusret breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nazım Nusret took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İsmail Cem Tublek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

After some careless play in the Moda defense, Kerem Perkel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nazım Nusret. The Moda fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nazım Nusret should have stopped the shot. Işıkalp Akgüneş kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. The supporters of Mersin FK booed when Moda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yusuf Ziya Semdin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 68 minutes, İsmail Cem Tublek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
