The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With his leg Mesut Abdulhakimoğlu managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Kazan FK's Taner Energin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 19th match minute, Konak FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Halis Coşkun to maneuver through the defense. After 22 played minutes Konak FK got a freekick which was hit by Cüneyd Tekalp. After 25 minutes, Talha Özaltın mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kazan FK and the Konak FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Kazan FK getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Talha Özaltın hit a great ball. If Aygün Akalp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute, Talha Özaltın hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Armağan Erginer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kazım Oray having to interfere. Armağan Erginer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kazım Oray read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. In the 60thth minute of the game Taner Energin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Konak FK's Mesut Abdulhakimoğlu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mesut Abdulhakimoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gencal Kocaman in the 65th minute of play. In the 70th minute Gencal Kocaman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mesut Abdulhakimoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Kazan FK booed when Konak FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Behzat Vahip didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mesut Abdulhakimoğlu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Taner Energin's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Gencal Kocaman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Mesut Abdulhakimoğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gencal Kocaman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mesut Abdulhakimoğlu having to interfere. Taner Energin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
