After a rather tough play, Kuyucak's Şeref Cenker got a free kick in the 66th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Sürmene FK's Ahmet Vefik İmren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kılıç Kornes narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
