Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ferman Altunhan started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Gediz JK's Alkın Şen got a free kick in the 2nd minute. In the 4th minute, Bircan Tokkan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 7th minute, Muzaffer Seyfullah made a precise shot to the right of Bora Kadrettin. Mersin JK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Gediz JK's Ali Berkant Sayıl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferman Altunhan in the 10th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Mersin JK's Rüknettin Tunçtürk slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ali Berkant Sayıl. That made the score 1-1 after 15 minutes of play. Bora Kadrettin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Muzaffer Seyfullah in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Cemalettin Tecer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Namık Velican's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 30thth minute, Ali Berkant Sayıl skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience was convinced that Nafiz Özerhan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bora Kadrettin was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Mersin JK's Bora Kadrettin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Muzaffer Seyfullah in the 33rd minute of play. Arif Tugay Tuğyan hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. If Namık Velican had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Muzaffer Seyfullah made the kick off in the second half. If Muzaffer Seyfullah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arif Tugay Tuğyan hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute of the match Sebati Askeroğlu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ali Berkant Sayıl skillfully saved the ball. If Nafiz Özerhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bora Kadrettin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Muzaffer Seyfullah in the 64th minute of play. Nafiz Özerhan charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nafiz Özerhan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 65 played minutes Gediz JK got a freekick which was hit by Nafiz Özerhan. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferman Altunhan in the 68th minute of play forced Gediz JK's goalkeeper Ali Berkant Sayıl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Muzaffer Seyfullah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bora Kadrettin having to interfere. When Gediz JK's Muzaffer Seyfullah in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mersin JK's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 94 minutes, Namık Velican managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mersin JK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Namık Velican was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ferman Altunhan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Ali Berkant Sayıl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mersin JK were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Gediz JK for a fine match.
