In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Safranbolu SK's goalkeeper Armağan Hekimhanlı, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Yavuzalp Aktaşoğlu could shoot a difficult shot in the 15th minute, which Yücel İzmirli however easily saved by the left post. In the 19th minute, Safranbolu SK's Mustafa Oğuz Sağan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Yavuzalp Aktaşoğlu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Yücel İzmirli made a huge save. Armağan Hekimhanlı showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afşar Sadan, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Devran Güneş hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Afşar Sadan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Armağan Hekimhanlı tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Safranbolu SK's Armağan Hekimhanlı played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afşar Sadan in the 37th minute of play. Yavuzalp Aktaşoğlu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Yücel İzmirli when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Sason's zone, Mustafa Oğuz Sağan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yücel İzmirli came out of the goal and Mustafa Oğuz Sağan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 46 minutes into the game, Emrah Eskioğlu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Armağan Hekimhanlı was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Afşar Sadan was the one to do the kick off. Armağan Hekimhanlı made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emrah Eskioğlu in the 53rd minute. After having played for 55 minutes, Emrah Eskioğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sason's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emrah Eskioğlu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emrah Eskioğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armağan Hekimhanlı having to interfere. With a little luck, Safranbolu SK's Armağan Hekimhanlı got control of the ball when Emrah Eskioğlu tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Mustafa Oğuz Sağan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Armağan Hekimhanlı took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afşar Sadan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emrah Eskioğlu in the 79thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Armağan Hekimhanlı, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Afşar Sadan in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armağan Hekimhanlı prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Armağan Hekimhanlı was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Afşar Sadan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 84 minute of play. 87 minutes in the game, Afşar Sadan fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Armağan Hekimhanlı having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Safranbolu SK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sason had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
