Safranbolu SK's Armağan Hekimhanlı played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remzi Oyman in the 11th minute of play. Safranbolu SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tophane SK the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 18th minute of the game. One of Safranbolu SK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tophane SK:s goal. The referee gave Tophane SK a penalty, 20 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Özden Uzman, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Safranbolu SK's Armağan Hekimhanlı. 0-1. After 27 played minutes Tophane SK got a freekick which was hit by Adnan Taceddin. 29 minutes into the match, Yavuzalp Aktaşoğlu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arcan Erol. Tophane SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yavuzalp Aktaşoğlu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Mustafa Oğuz Sağan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Süruri Adahan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armağan Hekimhanlı having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Adem Tolunay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The supporters of Safranbolu SK booed when Tophane SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Reha Temizel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 54 played minutes, Safranbolu SK's Özen Okkan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arcan Erol came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Safranbolu SK reached it. Remzi Oyman came free with the goalkeeper in the 56th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Armağan Hekimhanlı could save by the left post. In the 59th match minute, Safranbolu SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doğuhan Demirdelen to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Özden Uzman in the 60th minute really tested Armağan Hekimhanlı's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Yavuzalp Aktaşoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Arcan Erol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Süruri Adahan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Mustafa Oğuz Sağan came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Safranbolu SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mustafa Oğuz Sağan couldn't finish the play. Mustafa Oğuz Sağan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arcan Erol having to interfere. In the 81stth minute of the game Mustafa Oğuz Sağan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tophane SK's Arcan Erol was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tophane SK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Özden Uzman in the 86th minute. The corner ended in Özden Uzman almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Safranbolu SK's Armağan Hekimhanlı did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Reha Temizel in the 92nd minute of play forced Safranbolu SK's goalkeeper Armağan Hekimhanlı to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
