The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 16 minutes, Nafiz Arıtan made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Karamanli SK's Vahdet Avşar tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Artova booed when Karamanli SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yavuz Bülent Özcebe didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vahdet Avşar showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Vahdet Avşar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tamer Gümüşcü in the 30th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Artova's zone, Yahya Münir stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. İstemihan Orgun came out of the goal and Yahya Münir tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 32 minutes into the game, Bayhan Rahmi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Artova's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Karamanli SK the free kick. İstemihan Orgun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arda Balkan in the 33rd minute of play. When Nafiz Arıtan came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Artova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nafiz Arıtan couldn't finish the play. Yavuz Bülent Özcebe kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Tamer Gümüşcü received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Vahdet Avşar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Karamanli SK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Artova were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nafiz Arıtan made a kick off. Nafiz Arıtan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Nafiz Arıtan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 66 played minutes, Artova's Sezer Deryace shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vahdet Avşar came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Artova reached it. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vahdet Avşar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. İstemihan Orgun didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arda Balkan went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. If Sufi Türkşen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
