If Ulu Baba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 10th minute, Sezai Erboğa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Orhan Seyfi Şiraz might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hayrullah Neşat. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Doğan Gürtunas short, quick shot in the 13thth minute got Hayrullah Neşat to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Hayrullah Neşat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Uygur Akel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Kirsehir's Hayrullah Neşat got control of the ball when Doğan Gürtuna tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Halil Utku Kabataş in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bumin Özdinçer saved Susurluk SK from getting behind. Kirsehir's Hayrullah Neşat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uygur Akel in the 37th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Susurluk SK's Uygur Akel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hayrullah Neşat. That made the score 1-0 after 39 minutes of play. Doğan Gürtuna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Hayrullah Neşat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uygur Akel, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Ulu Baba made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Susurluk SK's goal looked a bit too open when Ulu Baba came free, but Bumin Özdinçer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kirsehir's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
