Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yakup Acabay in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ahmet Ömür Rusuhi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Yakup Acabay put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ahmet Ömür Rusuhi. Mehmet Bedri Tuncal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mehmet Bedri Tuncal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Genclerbirligi FK's zone, Yakup Acabay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmet Ömür Rusuhi came out of the goal and Yakup Acabay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Hüseyin Rahmi Akşin came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Genclerbirligi FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hüseyin Rahmi Akşin couldn't finish the play. Ahmet Ömür Hızlan hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Sertaç Ünalan from long distance, 19 minutes into the match, got Erhun Akgüneş's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Erhun Akgüneş showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artaç Dilercan in the 22nd minute of the match. If Yakup Acabay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the match, Genclerbirligi FK's goal looked a bit too open when Yakup Acabay came free, but Ahmet Ömür Rusuhi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Soma FK booed when Genclerbirligi FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Burç Buğra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ahmet Reha Tandoruk was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 35th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 38th minute, Yakup Acabay ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ahmet Ömür Rusuhi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Soma FK's Erhun Akgüneş played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artaç Dilercan in the 46th minute of play. Yakup Acabay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Soma FK were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Yakup Acabay in the 59th minute of play forced Genclerbirligi FK's goalkeeper Ahmet Ömür Rusuhi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erhun Akgüneş made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Burç Buğra in the 61st minute of play. Hüseyin Rahmi Akşin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Erhun Akgüneş tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Burç Buğra during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Genclerbirligi FK getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Burç Buğra hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Genclerbirligi FK's Burç Buğra got a free kick in the 70th minute. If Yakup Acabay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hüseyin Rahmi Akşin in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erhun Akgüneş saved Soma FK from getting behind. Ahmet Ömür Rusuhi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mehmet Bedri Tuncal in the 75th minute. Hüseyin Rahmi Akşin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erhun Akgüneş read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Soma FK's Cevat Elçin got a free kick in the 77th minute. Erhun Akgüneş took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hüseyin Rahmi Akşin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ahmet Ömür Hızlan hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. If Yakup Acabay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Genclerbirligi FK's Ahmet Ömür Rusuhi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yakup Acabay in the 85th minute of play. Burç Buğra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erhun Akgüneş having to interfere. Neşat Tuz kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Hüseyin Rahmi Akşin put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Erhun Akgüneş. Mehmet Bedri Tuncal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Ahmet Ömür Rusuhi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Genclerbirligi FK supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Soma FK's performance. The match ended with a win for Soma FK.
