Soma FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Beyoglu JK the free kick. In the 7th minute, Ahmet Ömür Hızlan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erhun Akgüneş made an important save on a dangerous shot by Günalp Çelik in the 15th minute. When Cevat Elçin fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Soma FK's protests and gave Cevat Elçin a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Soma FK getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Cevat Elçin hit a great ball. Tayfun Yürüker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erhun Akgüneş having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Soma FK's Ahmet Ömür Hızlan got a free kick in the 18th minute. After a rather tough play, Soma FK's Yakup Acabay got a free kick in the 24th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of Soma FK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Beyoglu JK:s goal. 32 minutes into the match, Beyoglu JK's goal looked a bit too open when Yakup Acabay came free, but Sufi Torhan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Harun Yahya during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Soma FK booed when Beyoglu JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harun Yahya didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Yakup Acabay came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Soma FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yakup Acabay couldn't finish the play. Mehmet Bedri Tuncal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Yakup Acabay came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Soma FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yakup Acabay couldn't finish the play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yakup Acabay to make the kick off. Muhammet Karay kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Soma FK's Yakup Acabay got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cevat Elçin hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Yakup Acabay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 61st minute Yakup Acabay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sufi Torhan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tayfun Yürüker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Erhun Akgüneş tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erhun Akgüneş showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Günalp Çelik, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 67th minute, Cevat Elçin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 69th minute Yakup Acabay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sufi Torhan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sufi Torhan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yakup Acabay went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Mehmet Bedri Tuncal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sufi Torhan having to interfere. Beyoglu JK's Tayfun Yürüker got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Erhun Akgüneş took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Günalp Çelik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ahmet Haşim Hürmüz's late challenge caught a Beyoglu JK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ahmet Haşim Hürmüz helped the player get up and apologised. The referee gave Beyoglu JK a penalty, 84 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Muhammet Karay, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Soma FK's Erhun Akgüneş. 2-2. When Ahmet Ömür Hızlan came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Soma FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmet Ömür Hızlan couldn't finish the play. In the 96th minute, Mehmet Bedri Tuncal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Soma FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. The Beyoglu JK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Soma FK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
