The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 15 minutes into the match, Sekerspor's goalkeeper Cabbar Akkaş had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Işık Saygın. Mehmet Anıl Ulubay struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Cabbar Akkaş didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fenerbahce. 33 minutes into the game, Mutlu Yengi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sekerspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fenerbahce the free kick. In the 32nd minute, one of Sekerspor:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sekerspor. The audience was convinced that Mehmet Anıl Ulubay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cabbar Akkaş was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. 41 minutes into the match, Fenerbahce's goal looked a bit too open when Selim Yelesen came free, but Nuh Akmaner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bilal Aydoğan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Nuh Akmaner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mehmet Anıl Ulubay to strike the kick off in the second half. If Bilal Aydoğan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Sekerspor's zone, Işık Saygın stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cabbar Akkaş came out of the goal and Işık Saygın tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sekerspor's Selim Yelesen got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nuh Akmaner made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bilal Aydoğan in the 63rd minute. After 65 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sekerspor! Bumin İğdemir walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Selim Yelesen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Fenerbahce's Mehmet Anıl Ulubay got a free kick in the 75th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sekerspor's zone, Işık Saygın stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cabbar Akkaş came out of the goal and Işık Saygın tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Sekerspor's Gencal Durukan got a free kick in the 84th minute. Fenerbahce's Bumin İğdemir couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 85th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sekerspor. Nuh Akmaner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Selim Yelesen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Sekerspor's Gencal Durukan got a free kick in the 92nd minute. 93 minutes into the match, Sekerspor's goal looked a bit too open when Işık Saygın came free, but Cabbar Akkaş reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute, Bilal Aydoğan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sekerspor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 99 minutes into the match, Behçet Türeli notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Sekerspor's Cabbar Akkaş. Cabbar Akkaş was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match was over Sekerspor could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Fenerbahce throughout the match.
