Samsunspor's defense didn't have a chance, in the 7th minute, when İstemihan Hürsev scored to the left of an out of position Oğuzcan Vedat, making the score, 1-0. Ahmet Tolga Acaralp's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ali Atıf Hazar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. İstemihan Hürsev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oğuzcan Vedat having to interfere. Ali Atıf Hazar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Tolga Acaralp in the 29th minute of play. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Samsunspor's goalkeeper Oğuzcan Vedat, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ali Atıf Hazar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ahmet Tolga Acaralp's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ahmet Tolga Acaralp to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Cizre FK's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Tolga Acaralp came free, but Ali Atıf Hazar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fırat Kutan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute, İstemihan Hürsev made a precise shot to the right of Oğuzcan Vedat. Samsunspor's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Ahmet Tolga Acaralp was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 79th minute. Samsunspor's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Hakan Vecdi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute, Cizre FK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ahmet Tolga Acaralp fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.
