Balaban Çelebi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Oğuzcan Vedat made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Balaban Çelebi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Oğuzcan Vedat. That made the score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. The supporters of Samsunspor booed when Besni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atahan Hitit didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Samsunspor's Oğuzcan Vedat got control of the ball when Balaban Çelebi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Volkan Suavi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fırat Kutan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Önder Zekeriya kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Kaptan Şafakoğlu, 31 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ahmet Tolga Acaralp in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Volkan Suavi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 39 minutes into the match, Samsunspor's goal looked a bit too open when Arif Gaffar Çoğaş came free, but Oğuzcan Vedat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fırat Kutan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Volkan Suavi having to interfere. A collision led to Samsunspor getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Macit Sanat hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ahmet Tolga Acaralp made a kick off. Ahmet Tolga Acaralp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Samsunspor's zone, Balaban Çelebi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oğuzcan Vedat came out of the goal and Balaban Çelebi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 61st minute Ahmet Tolga Acaralp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Volkan Suavi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Balaban Çelebi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ahmet Tolga Acaralp struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Volkan Suavi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Samsunspor. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Tolga Acaralp in the 93rd minute of play forced Besni's goalkeeper Volkan Suavi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Volkan Suavi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Tolga Acaralp in the 95th minute of play. In the 98th minute, Besni's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ahmet Tolga Acaralp fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Volkan Suavi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Tolga Acaralp, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute. When the final whistle sounded Samsunspor left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Besni.
