Umut Vefik came out of the goal and Çetin Coşan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rıfat Bakkalbaşıoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Arcan İlbilge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rıfat Bakkalbaşıoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Menemen FK's Arcan İlbilge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ertuğrul Ak in the 15th minute of play. Rıfat Bakkalbaşıoğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 24 minutes, Yasin Lema mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Menemen FK and the Sogukkuyu players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th match minute, Menemen FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yasin Lema to maneuver through the defense. Menemen FK's Arcan İlbilge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ertuğrul Ak in the 26th minute of play. Rıfat Bakkalbaşıoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Arcan İlbilge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 32 minutes, Güralp Canpolat mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sogukkuyu and the Menemen FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 32nd match minute, Sogukkuyu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Güralp Canpolat to maneuver through the defense. Rıfat Bakkalbaşıoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arcan İlbilge having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Yasin Lema hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ertuğrul Ak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 46 minutes of play, Menemen FK's Gencalp Tanbek made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Umut Vefik was left in no man's land by his defense there! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Çetin Coşan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rıfat Bakkalbaşıoğlu struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Arcan İlbilge didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sogukkuyu. Arcan İlbilge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ertuğrul Ak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rıfat Bakkalbaşıoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 58 played minutes Menemen FK got a freekick which was hit by Nusrettin Bayülgen. Beşir Sungur hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Gencalp Tanbek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Umut Vefik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Çetin Coşan scored 2-0 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Umut Vefik, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 84 minutes of play Menemen FK's Yasin Lema was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Menemen FK's Yasin Lema got a free kick in the 84th minute. Arcan İlbilge made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rıfat Bakkalbaşıoğlu in the 91st minute. After some careless play in the Menemen FK defense, Rıfat Bakkalbaşıoğlu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arcan İlbilge. The Menemen FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arcan İlbilge should have stopped the shot. Sogukkuyu's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
