Vahdet Tanberk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Şehzade Müslim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Ilgaz Günden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 16 played minutes Gediz FK got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Sedat Taluy. The Hisarönü fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Hisarönü's Şehzade Müslim looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ali Erdem Altıncığlu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vahdet Tanberk's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Ahmet İlke Keramettin's late challenge caught a Gediz FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ahmet İlke Keramettin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 24th match minute, Hisarönü was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet İlke Keramettin to maneuver through the defense. Haşim Işın in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ali Erdem Altıncığlu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ali Erdem Altıncığlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vahdet Tanberk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Şehzade Müslim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the match, Hisarönü's goalkeeper Ali Erdem Altıncığlu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Haşim Işın. When Haşim Işın came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Gediz FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haşim Işın couldn't finish the play. Ilgaz Günden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şehzade Müslim in the 44th minute of play. In the 48th minute Vahdet Tanberk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Erdem Altıncığlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vahdet Tanberk stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vahdet Tanberk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Şehzade Müslim struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Ilgaz Günden didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hisarönü. Ilgaz Günden made an important save on a dangerous shot by Şehzade Müslim in the 71st minute. Ali Behzat Neba received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ilgaz Günden came out and tried to block the shot, but Ali Behzat Neba slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 77th minute. In the 82nd minute, Olcay Yavuzalp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 83 played minutes, Gediz FK's Osman Ali Ziya shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ali Erdem Altıncığlu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gediz FK reached it. Şehzade Müslim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 89th match minute, Gediz FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Güntekin Doğa to maneuver through the defense. Vahdet Tanberk struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Ali Erdem Altıncığlu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gediz FK. The Hisarönü supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Hisarönü would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
