But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Münir Urgun couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Tuzluca's Tolga Özilter got control of the ball when Bilgin Siraceddin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kuddusî Sabuncuoğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Münir Urgun to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Münir Urgun in the 52nd minute of play forced Tuzluca's goalkeeper Tolga Özilter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute Kuddusî Sabuncuoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mümtaz Gökalp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Münir Urgun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gölova JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Münir Urgun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tolga Özilter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
