An unexpectedly hard shot by Giray Arslan in the 3rd minute of play forced Sultandagi's goalkeeper İskender Uğuray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 4 played minutes, Istanbulspor's Kandemir Taner shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper İskender Uğuray came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Istanbulspor reached it. Fazıl Hezarfen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mustafa Hakan Cantekin in the 6th minute of play. Fetih Olgunsu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 10th minute by Mustafa Hakan Cantekin got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Through an outstanding action, after 12 minutes, Fazıl Hezarfen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Abayhan Cezlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mustafa Hakan Cantekin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Istanbulspor's Fetih Olgunsu got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Sungurhan Hepyener had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abayhan Cezlan charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abayhan Cezlan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 35th match minute, Sultandagi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abayhan Cezlan to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Sultandagi getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Abayhan Cezlan hit a great ball. In the 40thth minute of the game Giray Arslan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sultandagi's İskender Uğuray was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Sungurhan Hepyener made the kick off in the second half. Fazıl Hezarfen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sungurhan Hepyener in the 52nd minute of the match. Fazıl Hezarfen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sungurhan Hepyener, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Boğaçhan Uzel charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Fetih Olgunsu was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 59th minute. Istanbulspor's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The supporters of Istanbulspor booed when Sultandagi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vecdet Ulaş didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fetih Olgunsu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fazıl Hezarfen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Giray Arslan got free with İskender Uğuray in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. İskender Uğuray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fetih Olgunsu in the 87th minute of play. A collision led to Istanbulspor getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Ahmet Kadri Sazak hit a great ball. Şafak İslam came free in the 91st minute and tried to tip the ball over Fazıl Hezarfen, but to the joy of Istanbulspor's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. In the 93rd minute, Sungurhan Hepyener left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sultandagi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sultandagi fans cheered their team off the field, for while Istanbulspor had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
