Altay Özil charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Altay Özil the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Şakir Neşit got free with Abuzer Günsel in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Erdal Sefir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erdal Sefir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bayezit Baştugay having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Erdal Sefir made a precise shot to the right of Bayezit Baştugay. Düzce SK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by Düzce SK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Murathan Bengi was slow to take the kick. During this time Gürgentep's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Gürgentep's Murathan Bengi to fire away a dangerous shot which Bayezit Baştugay despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Gürgentep's Andaç Hisar in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Düzce SK's goalie prevented a goal. Andaç Hisar struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Bayezit Baştugay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gürgentep. A collision led to Düzce SK getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Adil Akgöze hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Gürgentep's Murathan Bengi tried to score from far away in the 41st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Erdal Sefir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bayezit Baştugay having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erdal Sefir made a kick off. After some careless play in the Gürgentep defense, Akın Doğu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abuzer Günsel. The Gürgentep fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abuzer Günsel should have stopped the shot. Düzce SK's Alişan Ülkü got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alişan Ülkü struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Abuzer Günsel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Düzce SK. Bayezit Baştugay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andaç Hisar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute Alişan Ülkü shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abuzer Günsel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Alişan Ülkü had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Şakir Neşit recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Düzce SK's Atakan Arslantürk got a free kick in the 76th minute. Erdal Sefir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Bayezit Baştugay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute Alişan Ülkü shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abuzer Günsel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Alişan Ülkü managed to get in a good position for a shot. Düzce SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Alişan Ülkü was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abuzer Günsel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Gürgentep players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
