The audience thought a goal was coming when Demirhan Esay got free with Kamuran Balcıoğlu in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Demirhan Esay was extremely unlucky when he, in the 4th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Resulhan Songur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mehmet Bilge Acaralp's late challenge caught a Batman's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mehmet Bilge Acaralp helped the player get up and apologised. Mehmet Bilge Acaralp hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. If Lütfü Cumhur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lütfü Cumhur struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Kamuran Balcıoğlu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caglayan. The supporters of Caglayan booed when Batman was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vural Derinöz didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Tuncer İzhan fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Batman's protests and gave Tuncer İzhan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th match minute, Batman was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tuncer İzhan to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute, Demirhan Esay left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caglayan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Batman's Resulhan Songur got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arif Çelebi Tekay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vural Derinöz in the 28th minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Caglayan's goal looked a bit too open when Vural Derinöz came free, but Arif Çelebi Tekay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lütfü Cumhur struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Kamuran Balcıoğlu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caglayan. Arif Çelebi Tekay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vural Derinöz in the 40th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vural Derinöz to strike the kick off in the second half. Zekai Sermet charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zekai Sermet the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Batman booed when Caglayan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zekai Sermet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kamuran Balcıoğlu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lütfü Cumhur's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Atilla Tarkan Yeten hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute Lütfü Cumhur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kamuran Balcıoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kamuran Balcıoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Demirhan Esay in the 60th minute of play. Mehmet Bilge Acaralp got his second yellow card in the match during the 61st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Mehmet Bilge Acaralp hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Caglayan's Arif Çelebi Tekay proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Caglayan from getting a goal against them. Vedat Özaltın hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Resulhan Songur was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 86th minute. Batman's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Vural Derinöz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Resulhan Songur in the 96thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Arif Çelebi Tekay, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Batman's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
