After a defensive mix-up in Yusufeli's zone, Hamit Raci stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baha Şenal came out of the goal and Hamit Raci tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Atak Samin got free with Baha Şenal in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 6th match minute, Yusufeli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arda Baybars Salahaddin to maneuver through the defense. 7 minutes into the match, Yusufeli's goalkeeper Baha Şenal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Atak Samin. Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Baha Şenal successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 19th minute, Batu Cem Refik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute of the match Yusufeli got a corner. Selendi's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hüseyin Cahit Yazgan ran over to the corner to take the kick. Baha Şenal made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Atak Samin sent off a good shot on target. Yusufeli's Hamdi Sebih got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Hamdi Sebih had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the game, Aykan Zaik was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Selendi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yusufeli the free kick. A collision led to Selendi getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Aykan Zaik hit a great ball. Kamer Ethem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arif Oğuz Aktay in the 35th minute of the match. Kamer Ethem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arif Oğuz Aktay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baha Şenal made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Atak Samin sent off a good shot on target. Umur Erginer's late challenge caught a Selendi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Umur Erginer helped the player get up and apologised. Umur Erginer kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Selendi's Atak Samin got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hasan Akbaşak to strike the kick off in the second half. When Atalan Ülgener fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yusufeli's protests and gave Atalan Ülgener a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Yusufeli getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Atalan Ülgener hit a great ball. Selendi's Kamer Ethem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arif Oğuz Aktay in the 61st minute of play. If Arif Oğuz Aktay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kamer Ethem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arif Oğuz Aktay in the 90th minute of the match. After having played for 92 minutes, Arif Oğuz Aktay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yusufeli's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arif Oğuz Aktay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Selendi fans cheered their team off the field, for while Yusufeli had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
