Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Cumhur Somer got the match started through his kick off. Mustafa Orhan Şükür kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. The long shot by Cemil Tanbey in the 4th minute really tested Hayri Durul's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Baykan Eroğuz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Hayri Durul made a huge save. Cumhur Somer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Hayri Durul tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cumhur Somer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hayri Durul made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cumhur Somer in the 16th minute of play. Cumhur Somer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hayri Durul having to interfere. After 24 played minutes Mengen got a freekick which was hit by Balamir Aytuğ. 40 minutes into the game, Mengen's Balamir Aytuğ nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kılıçhan Erdemalp made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 46th minute Balamir Aytuğ shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kılıçhan Erdemalp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Baykan Eroğuz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ersin Oğuzcan to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ersin Oğuzcan got free with Kılıçhan Erdemalp in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Ersin Oğuzcan came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Mengen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ersin Oğuzcan couldn't finish the play.
