They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Çağan Yaybüke to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Soma SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Macit Halıcı to maneuver through the defense. When Çağan Yaybüke came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Necatibey fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Çağan Yaybüke couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Soma SK booed when Necatibey was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdi Yürük didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Ali Macit Halıcı in the 76th minute really tested Alpay Özsan's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When Çağan Yaybüke came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Necatibey fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Çağan Yaybüke couldn't finish the play. Çağan Yaybüke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Soma SK's Alpay Özsan threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from İzzettin Tuğsavaş, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
