The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kılıçhan Ünal made a kick off. Avanos's Semi İzhan suffered a sore thigh after 51 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Hıncal Suphi fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bünyan's protests and gave Hıncal Suphi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd minute, Hıncal Suphi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ferdi Erez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bulut Mengüalp having to interfere. Bulut Mengüalp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Korkut Eskicioğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Korkut Eskicioğlu's late challenge caught a Bünyan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Korkut Eskicioğlu helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Avanos getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Korkut Eskicioğlu hit a great ball. Ahmet Nafiz Durak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Avanos's Müfit Hattat got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Bünyan's Kılıçhan Ünal got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kılıçhan Ünal struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Ahmet Asım Orkan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bünyan. If Ahmet Nafiz Durak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute, Kılıçhan Ünal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 82nd minute, Emir Çelikel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ahmet Asım Orkan made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Ahmet Nafiz Durak sent off a good shot on target. In the 92nd minute Kılıçhan Ünal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Asım Orkan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Avanos's Ahmet Asım Orkan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Avanos from getting a goal against them. Despite being the better team, Bünyan failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
