The tension between the Erzurumspor SK and the Karkamis players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 25th match minute, Erzurumspor SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ilgaz Saltukalp to maneuver through the defense. Erzurumspor SK's Alemdar Sadi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atay İltemur in the 33rd minute of play. Erzurumspor SK's Halil Utku Salik got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Denizhan Soysan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Halil Utku Salik, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Tarkan İnan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alemdar Sadi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

If Atay İltemur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atacan İlter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atay İltemur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alemdar Sadi having to interfere.
